Feature Update: Real Insights

Hi Guys and Girls,

We’re excited to share an update on what our team is currently building at SmartSelf. A lot of our customers have been asking for clearer, more hands-off ways to understand how their students are performing, and that is exactly what we’ve been working on through our Data-Driven Student Insights feature.

One of the biggest challenges for tutors is turning student activity into something useful. A student might complete work, finish a topic, or move through a section, but that does not always give the tutor a clear picture of what they actually understood, where they struggled, or what they should do next.

That is where our insights system comes in. For example, if a student completes a section in Algebra or Cell Biology, SmartSelf can analyse that performance and compile it into a clearer report. This includes how the student performed, where their strengths are, where they may need more support, and what the next step in their learning should be. Instead of just seeing that a topic was completed, tutors get real student insights sent directly to them!

Looking ahead, we are working towards connecting this with WATI so this process becomes even more hands-off. In the future, tutors will receive student topic completion metrics automatically via Whatsapp, along with downloadable PDF reports showing performance across each subject.

For tutors, this means less guess work, better visibility over student progress, and clearer information to help them support each student more effectively in lessons.
